While we did eat very well. We also did a whole lot of walking & hiking!
Approaching the Maddalena archipelago via ferry boat from Palau.
This is the secluded beach that we finally got to...was it worth it? Of course as the adventure always marks how good the journey is!
3-4 hours to the very secluded Cala Cotticio on Isola Caprera
• Caprera is a small island off the coast of Sardinia, Italy, located in the Maddalena archipelago. In the area of La Maddalena island in the Strait of Bonifacio.
It was about a 1.5-2 hr. walk up a winding mountain before we even got to the actual trail leading to the secluded beach! All I could say was, "Are we there yet???"
Here are the vistas & gorgeous views as we hiked...*And, the weather was perfect! Strong sun but very, very there was a refreshing breeze as we hiked & climbed.
How could you not enjoy the moment & have some fun taking a pic.!?!
You can see that traversing some of this terrain was not exactly ideal especially with my 6 Euros slippas! Haha!
On our first travel adventures together, Amy and I explore great places, immerse in amazing cultures, cross paths with fabulous people and meet head-on the authentic palette-watering foods of the regions!
