The Help, aka "The Hook-ups"

Throughout our trip, I was always giggling to myself and giving thanks all the same at the amazing people that God put into our paths...
Salvatore

We met Salvatore through a hook-up at the Agristurismo where Antoniette, the Manager, arranged for us to join a group of 4 people to go on a hike in the Supramonte Mountains! This news came especially pleasant because we had let Antoniette know last minute that we wanted to hike in the mountains...so she called up her connections & next thing I know is that she said that she was going to pack some pannis for us!
Get this...in the Land Rover that comes to pick us up...there are: 2 journalists (one Italian, one French), a really neat Irish expat working as a guide in the Supramonte mountains, an veteran guide of the mountain area, & another guide, Salvatore. To add to the whole coolness of the situation, we were in the middle of basically nowhere without having wheels of our own so it was timely and were amazing that this worked out for us!
Below is my journal drawing of our hiking crew:

Angelo...
While at our Agriturismo farm-stay, we were basically in the middle of nowhere having no access to a car. And so on the day that we wanted to leave, we asked Antoniette if she could help us arrange some sort of transportation. We needed to go to Nuroro, a small town in the mountains in order to hop on the bus to Bosa, which was another town on the westcoast of the island. Enter, Angelo! Antoniette had managed to hook us up with a ride to that town because her friend who happened to be at the Agriturismo was heading there! She says to me that her friend can give us a drop. Antoniete:
He doesn't speak any English....do you speak Italian?
Me: Not really... Anotniette
It's okay, he's funny.
The whole 20 min. drive, he gives us his business card at the beginning as we hop in and then, it's silent the rest of the way. Haha....nice guy though!
